Birds, Whales, and Sea Turtles
Home to the greatest wildlife migrations in the Americas, Costa Rica hosts some of nature’s most inspiring phenomena. In autumn, animal migrations peak in the country, with an assortment of species sweeping through or stopping in on their own unique journeys. The timing of this tour in October captures the wonder of this extraordinary wildlife spectacle, from raptors to whales and sea turtles to songbirds. Additionally, we’ll explore the resident fauna of the country, including two species of sloth, four species of monkeys, and an array of colorful reptiles and amphibians. There will be a vast diversity of birds from resident hummingbirds, toucans, motmots, and tropical tanagers joined by North American songbirds on the wing to South America.
